The Guide provides practical recommendations in order to enable the continuation of the sector’s activities while guaranteeing the health of Cleaning Companies’ employees. In particular, it assists employers in adopting the adequate recommendations for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) according to professional situations and typologies of working sites: (i)sites maintained in activity / without human presence; (ii) sites maintained in activity / with human presence (common parts of buildings, hotels, food shops, etc.); (iii) sites in the health sector (health establishments, hospitals, EHPAD).

- 24/04/2020, from 27 March to 15 April 2020 FEP carried out a Survey on “Impacts of Covid-19 on the activity of cleaning companies” among 686 companies throughout France. The result shows a clear deterioration in the economic situation of companies with an average loss of 51% in turnover. To the infographic.
- 23/03/2020, Open Letter: Cleaning companies are also on the front line to fight the virus, (link). Demands cleaning companies to be included in the list of so-called essential professions for maintaining civic health. Furthermore, it adjourns on the new guidelines of the French Health Ministry on PPEs when carrying out cleaning operations.
- 18/03/2020, Press release – COVID-19: Industrial cleaning companies, an essential link in the fight against coronavirus.
The press release concerns the repercussions on the cleaning sector of the activation of the phase 3 of the health plan against COVID-19. It asks French authorities to:
(1) exempt employers from bureaucratic formalities (declaring address and place of mission) related to disinfection operations that are increasingly demanded;
