Advocacy and Regulatory Actions:

• On 19 March, all employers’ associations in the Swiss cleaning sector published a joint statement requesting the Swiss federal council to award an exemption to cleaning workers in order to ensure their freedom of movement, necessary to perform their professional duties, links: FR, IT, DE.
• On 6 March, Allpura published a statement highlighting the challenges that the new situation presents to the cleaning sector in Switzerland and the difficulty for many cleaning companies to attend the increasing demand of sanitization services in the county, link. 

Technical Information and Support:

• Allpura set a dedicated Covid19 site featuring a series of webinars on the topic and several industry updates and recommendations on safety measures.

Social Media:

• Allpura launched the SAUBER = SICHER (CLEAN = SAFE) campaign highlighting the essential role of the cleaning industry in safeguarding public health and the need to provide cleaning agents with all necessary protective equipment.
