EFCI’s Covid-19 actions
Providing among others sanitisation and disinfection operations, the Cleaning and Facility Services sector continues to be at the forefront of the fight against Covid-19. The sector has been widely acknowledged in its key role not only to contain the outbreak of the disease but also to prevent the virus’ propagation and guaranteeing the health and wellbeing of users in buildings, infrastructures, healthcare facilities, schools, public transports, industrial or cultural spaces and touristic facilities.
Cleaning companies and agents are ready to continue supporting Europe through the current global health crisis. To make this possible, decision-makers must actively support the sector, which is and has been severely hit by the closures of buildings and infrastructures. A sectoral approach analysing the consequences of the containment measures in the different economic ecosystems is needed in order to ensure a successful recovery for all.
This page highlights EFCI and its members’ main actions to support companies and advocate for the sectors’ needs to continue containing the spread of the virus also during Europe’s recovery phase.
